"We would recommend to friends and intend to visit again. We liked the layout of the property. The shower rooms were modern and clean with towels and soap provided. The kitchen had everything required and the tea and coffee making facilities with chocolate biscuits which were a bonus. A comfortable place to stay for a few days or longer."

"We really loved this accommodation. 4 ensuite bedrooms which somehow seemed better than the pictures indicated. Very clean, everything we wanted. Quiet neighbourhood even though within walking distance of York central. Nothing not to like. Ok, there is no parking outside the door, but it was manageable. We used My Parking Space and found a 2 day space at a reasonable price."

"The property was in good order, clean and tidy. 5 of us stayed with our jack russell. Loved the liitle outside seating area and patio doors to the outside. Having 2 bathrooms is really helpful."

We were fortunate enough to get one. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very helpful folder at property with written guidance and guides to local attractions. Highly recommended. A little noise from road and passers by til late, as is expected over a weekend during August."

"This house is great for a large group. It’s walking distance into York, to the Minster and onto the Walls walk. All rooms are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped (one of our party bemoaned the lack of dishwasher but it really didn’t matter!) Other reviews have mentioned the traffic noise but the two who slept in the front bedroom reported sleeping soundly. We would recommend this place especially for big family gatherings."

"Great place to stay for a short break. Everything was within walking distance, parked car and didn’t use it until we left. Car is 5.25m long, hubby & I disagreed on whether we should move it to the car park. We left it, didn’t get a ticket but don’t take that as a guarantee a different warden won’t ticket it (nose was just over the first yellow line).As previous guests have stated, near cafes, restaurants and attractions, perfect base. We ate twice at Vermillion, fab atmosphere and food. The owner, Bilal, is really welcoming 😊Waitrose is 15 min walk, Sainsbury’s 20 a really great place to stay 😊Jayne and Michelle great hosts, any queries they answer quickly would definitely stay again 😊"

"We came from USA for a 30 days w our daughters: Beds comfy, amazing water pressure in showers, neighborhood perfect. Hosts purchased fans specifically for our stay because we were there during a heatwave - what hospitality! The courtyard helped us meet the locals and make friends. It’s close to train station and the high street. Kitchen not adorned for a long stay, but we made it work… and left several contributions for guests after us. We loved it and will go back."

"Best Weekend! Six of us stayed and we all throughly enjoyed our stay. 15 min walk into the centre. Everything you could possibly think of was available in the House! Each room as a Bathroom and also a downstairs toilet. The one and only problem i didn’t like was the twin beds were terrible, they creaked so much, you just did a little movement and they creaked."
