Fountains by Floodlight
When staying at one of our Holiday Homes in York during October why not try and visit Fountains Abbey, which is a short drivge from our accommodation.
This is an event that has been running for 90 years of Fountains by Floodlight with an after-dark adventure...
Perfect for all ages with music and tours of the floodlite gardens. Information about the event is listed below and can be found on the National Trust Website.
This event is ticketed. You'll be able to book your tickets later in the year. Free to National Trust members but remember to still book your tickets.
This year, Fountains by Floodlight will be running on the following dates: Saturday 1st October, Saturday 8th October, Saturday 15th October, Friday 21st October, Saturday 22nd October, Friday 28th October, Saturday 29th October. We'll be releasing more information about entry times later in the year.
Please wear sturdy footwear and warm clothing. We highly recommend bringing a torch - the abbey gets very dark, even with the floodlights.

Open 7 days a week. (closed Fridays: 1 Nov-31 January)
Summer admission: 10am-4:30pm. Car Parks close at 6:30pm
