Cooper King Distillery is a self-built family-owned distillery in Sutton-on-the-Forest, York, producing award-winning sustainably sourced spirits. The Cooper King Distillery was founded by the Cooper family in 2014. The family had been making their own spirits for years and wanted to take it to the next level. They wanted to create a sustainable business that would be able to provide for their children and grandchildren. The distillery is located on the outskirts of York, England. It is a small operation with only two employees: father and son team, John and James Cooper. They produce award winning spirits from locally sourced ingredients such as Yorkshire apples, honey from Yorkshire bees and water from the River Ouse which runs through York.
